Founder and President of Social Innovation Park
Founder of the award-winning global movement – the Social Innovation Park (SIP). SIP advocates a more inclusive, sustainable and better world, through collaborative innovation and partnership with the public, private and people sectors. Responsible for an 8-part TV program, significant forums, social innovators platforms and programs, global fellow awards and chapters across the globe.
A veteren MP, Penny is a union advisor and sits on many national and international committees. She has chaired the Government Parliamentary Committee of the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts, and served GPC of Ministries including Finance, Education, Trade and Industry, National Development and Environment and Water Resources. She is a veteren of the wealth management industry and a serial entrepreneur.
A passionate traveller, Penny has traversed more than 70 countries She has published various articles, frequently interviewed by local and foreign media, and spoke at many forums including Davos WEF, World Knowledge Forum, The Guardian Social Enterprise Summit, Skoll World Forum, The Global Philanthropy Forum, Global ReDesign Council, ISO, ASEAN100 and Asia Leaders Forum and inter-parliamentary meetings. She is frequently interviewed by local and foreign television, radio and print. She serves as a Global Advisor to many social innovation hubs, The Dubai Hub, US-based Larta Institute, Operation Hope, and the Board of Directors of the Commonwealth Business Council, etc.
Penny received many awards, including honours by Geneva-based World Economic Forum as a founding member of the prestigious New Asian Leaders and the Young Global Leaders, a Founding Curator of the Global Shapers Community, US-based Aspen Institute as an Aspen Ideas Festival Scholar, a Yale University Scholar and Yale World Fellow. She has been consistently listed in Singapore Tatler’s Top 300, and is an alumnus of NUS, Harvard, Yale and Tsinghua University.
