Ms Yip Pin Xiu

Yip Pin Xiu is a two time Paralympian and a seven-time world record holder. She made waves in and out of the pool when she won Singapore’s first Paralympic Gold Medal at the age of 16 in the 2008 BeiJing Paralympic Games. She was conferred the Meritorious Service Medal by the State for her achievements.
Despite having Muscular Dystrophy, she does not let it affect her zest for life. Outside the pool, Pin Xiu is an avid believer of giving back. She does talks and helps out in disability sports programs hoping to inspire others to lead a healthy lifestyle. Pin Xiu exemplifies that being disabled does not mean unable.
