Plenary: From Start-up to Social Impact: Creating a Social Venture

Building strong foundations is essential to ensure growth and sustainability of social ventures. This session provides an overview of research and experience that have clearly identified key building blocks for success.

1. What is the framework for a thriving social venture and is it applicable across geographies and social sectors?

2. What challenges need to be overcome in creating a sustainable social venture?

3. How can a social enterprise identify and leverage external expertise in its start-up phase and beyond?

Aspiring and current social entrepreneurs, innovators, venture capitalists and so on will have 10 minute to take the pedestal stage and pitch their ideas and resources to potential partners. Challengers and Participants will have 10 minutes to field questions after each pitch. There will be a facilitator on site to help.
